"Either the self-proclaimed "war president" and his men committed the worst set of blunders overseas since Vietnam, or they lied the nation into an imperial war to grab oil and boost Israel's fortunes.
Republicans don't care. Amazingly, a recent CNN/USA Today poll showed 62% of Republicans still believe Iraq was behind 9/11. This is after a flood of contrary evidence and Duelfer's report."
Can Americans be THIS stupid? I mean, Kerry/Edwards is probably worse than Bush, but why not look outside the Republicrat/Demoblican paradigm?
Mike Wasdin has the answer:
" To be considered a good American today, one must pledge their undying allegiance to the State. We must never question authority, because the State knows better than we do. You are either with us, or against us. Just wave the flag and shut the fuck up! Dissent is no longer an option, for you will be labeled as a traitor, terrorist, and un-American.
The sheep are herd oriented, and cannot think outside the box. Not being capable of perceptual or intellectual thought, they are only capable of thinking in terms of tribal relations. If you are not a Republican, then you must be a Democrat. The idea that there may be a different line of thought is foreign and confusing to them."
In another article he writes:
" A peculiar thing happened to me on my road to freedom: I hit a blockade. I realized that we had become an Orwellian society where the sheep are more than happy to give up their rights if Big Brother can guarantee their safety. I could not believe the pathetic declarations that the sheep had now begun to recite: “If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about.” “I am willing to give up some freedom for security.” What a pathetic people we have become! We have sacrificed essential freedom for security and we now had neither."
